Added Excellent Information Regarding the First 30 Days
Yesterday Fred and Kevin focused on getting the initial contract sent over to the lender, verifying that the bank has received it and some other finer points of getting the contract into the bank’s hands.
Today we’ll go ahead from that point. Just to repeat, getting that contract verified is essential. There is not time to delay for the bank to get serious. Here is how Fred and Kevin supervise the process.
Fax the package on day one. Call the lender 48 hours later. If they verify that they have the package, Good! If the bank claims to have not received the packet. Fax it another time and call up the next day. As long as they don’t claim to have it, you should persist in faxing and persist in calling. Replicate this practice four or five times and you will be at the forefront of the process. The point is simple. We want the package verified in fewer than a week. If we can’t get the package verified in fewer than a week, we are severely behind schedule in the process.
If, after seven days, the package is not verified it is time to begin screaming. Attain each contact you can to email, call, fax, etc. Perhaps you have to chase down a bank manager to get this method finished.
The first step in the short sale method is getting that packet verified. It is extremely paramount that you appreciate this. Extra time can be wasted in this initial step and the last thing that you want to be doing with a short sale is playing catch up.
