Credit Card Debt Relief: Now That’s What I’m Talkin About

Credit card debt relief, this is what we’re talking about today. The notion of credit card debt conjures up profits and dollar signs in the eyes of bankers and the credit card companies, but the notion of credit card debt conjures up images of slavery to many a consumer.

The reason is that millions of consumers struggle these days simply to make ends meet. Paying off credit card debt makes the struggle even more difficult. Then to top it off, the credit card companies have been raising rates and fees for consumers across the board. This is adding insult to injury.

Credit card debt therefore is an issue that needs to be dealt with. It simply cannot be ignored. Consumers need help and something or somebody must help them.

So who you gonna call? It ain’t Ghostbusters, and it ain’t the (cough, shark) bankruptcy lawyers either. They are quick to fill consumer’s minds with fairy tale stories of being able to get out of debt overnight and waking up to a fresh start in the morning; a morning with sunshine and fresh air blowing into your bedroom windows, deer and birds frolicking in your backyard, a rainbow in the distance with a pot of gold that has your name on it, and lolly lolly harp and flute music playing in the background.

In other words, what bankruptcy lawyers promise to unsuspecting consumers is Utopia. But this bankruptcy utopia does not exist. What the bankruptcy lawyers take great pains to hide and sweep under the carpet is all the harmful and negative consequences which a bankruptcy filing has on the poor soul who files for bankruptcy.

What consumers should take advantage of rather are the debt relief programs which are in fact able to reduce and eliminate credit card debt without the need for filing for bankruptcy. These debt relief programs Debt Settlement, Debt Consolidation, and Consumer Credit Counseling. But bankruptcy? Don’t go there, not unless you want to make matters worse.
