Ways To Pay Off Your Bills And Become Debt Free

In America we are in the middle of a difficult economic crisis. Literally millions of Americans are finding it difficult to even live because of their credit card debts. It is not uncommon to listen to the news and hear of another husband who has taken the life of his wife and children and then killed himself as well. The reason? He lost his job and couldn’t face the future. He thought he could save his family from suffering. America, you must pay off your credit card debts!

Destroy your credit cards that have high interest rates. Call or email the credit card companies of the cards that have the highest interest, and ask them to close your account so no one can make any more purchases, and you can get it paid off. Keep the card with the lowest interest rate, but leave it at home, and don’t use it.

Decide that your main goal will be to pay off your debts as fast as you can in order to become debt free. Understand that you may have to work at extra odd jobs, and that you will have to sacrifice to meet your goal.

Decide on a budget, and stick with it. Make a note of the expenses you have each month, and how much they are. Check the list, and eliminate or cut back on everything you possibly can. Don’t leave anything in your budget that you can live without. Concentrate only on the necessities.

Plan to live as inexpensively as you possibly can. The idea now is not to spend money on anything except the necessary things you need to stay alive. The best way not to spend is to stay out of stores, and out of internet sites that offer things for sale. Leave out any extra monthly expenses, even if they are things you enjoy.

Start paying off your debt. Put your cards in order from the highest interest rate to the lowest. Begin with the first card, and pay as much as you can each month on it, while paying the minimum payment on all the rest. You will save a lot of money in interest by doing it this way, and it will help you to get out of debt quicker. When you get the first one paid off, use the money you were paying on it, and add it to the amount you were paying on the second card. Do this with all of your cards.

It wasn’t hard at all for you to get in debt. In fact, it probably happened faster than you realized. Now you will have to dig in your heels, and with an unprecedented determination, do everything you can to get out of debt. Follow these suggestions, and your debt will begin to disappear.
